VISION
Our Holistic Journey
At ETHEA, we believe that water security is the foundation for a green and sustainable future in and around the Cockpit Country which is precisely why we have made this the cornerstone of our very first project: Jamaqua. The biodiverse region of Cockpit Country supplies 40% of Jamaica’s drinking water but faces mounting challenges from mining, pollution, and a lack of infrastructure.
Our vision is simple yet profound: to support local sustainable development by providing access to safe, clean drinking water.
We have a vision where Cockpit Country’s water resources are harnessed in a manner where access to safe drinking water is guaranteed, the ecosystem is safeguarded and the local communities are empowered. By reviving and utilising localised water reservoirs, we want to improve the health and well-being in and around the Cockpit Country.

This initiative is more than infrastructure
—it’s about resilience. It’s about creating opportunities for local communities by tapping into their knowledge, generating jobs, and building skills for the future. Every drop of water provided at an affordable cost fuels the restoration of additional reservoirs, creating a ripple effect of sustainability. Jamaqua’s success is built on partnerships—with the people of Cockpit Country and with supporters like you. Together, we can secure water for generations to come, contributing to a healthier environment and stronger, self-reliant communities.
Mission
We aim to mobilise resources and restore communal access to clean drinking water. By rehabilitating hillside runoff harvester systems and equipping them with solar-powered filtration, we will transform existing, non-functional infrastructure into efficient, sustainable water systems.
